Haldvani. Uttarakhand is going to host young space innovators and rocketry talents across the country. On October 4 and 5, Gaulapar-based Indira Gandhi International Stadium will hold the ‘Akashanan Spardha-2026’ National Rocketry Championship. The National Competition under World Space Week will participate in IITs, NITs, Central and State Universities as well as schools across the country.
On October 5, the second day of the event will join the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhammi program and communicate with young scientists and innovators from across the country. The event is organizing ISRO-Verified Space Tutor ‘Astrors Experience’. U-COS is associated with institutional partners and municipality as a business partner.
The major attraction of the competition will be the High-Altitude Balloon (HAB) mission. Under this, important data related to upper atmosphere will be raised by sending the scientific payload to a height of about 35 km. The HAB mission has been successfully carried out from Haldwani to 7 to 10 km height before the Astrovers.
The college class will have events like reusable rocketry, multi-stage rocketry, solid fuel rocketry and rocket simulation. While extemporary and space art competitions will be organized with air, parachute and hydro rocketry in the school class. Cash prizes up to Rs 1.80 lakh will be given in various events.
आयोजकों के अनुसार, राष्ट्रीय स्तर की इस प्रतियोगिता से उत्तराखंड के विद्यार्थियों को देशभर के युवा वैज्ञानिकों और स्पेस इनोवेटर्स के साथ अपनी प्रतिभा प्रदर्शित करने का मंच मिलेगा। इससे हल्द्वानी में स्पेस एजुकेशन और वैज्ञानिक नवाचार से जुड़ी गतिविधियों को भी बढ़ावा मिलने की उम्मीद है।
